Daggerfall Quests

Post » Wed Jul 04, 2012 5:50 am

So i just started playing daggerfall. I am really liking it but i have a question about the quests. Do i have to use the log and the information to figure out where to go or is there like other stuff to help me on where to go because Im use to games like fallout and skyrim where it has a marker of some sort.

if the quest giver tells you to go somewhere, well, you better remember where he said it was, because there's no log that tells what to do. I usually write it down. i don't think you can ask him either after he tells you the first time.

No markers in Daggerfall (thank god). Quest givers always give you enough information to get started, but sometimes, when you need to find a person/location in a particular town, you have to ask "townies" (the NPCs wandering outside) for directions.

I don't think you can ask him either after he tells you the first time.

The names of quest-related npcs/locations, as well the quest time limits, are always reported in the in-game journal (which, by the way, is one of the best I've ever seen in a RPG).

Which means you currently don't have any active sidequest, otherwise they'd be there (keep in mind that entries related to completed and/or failed quests get erased, unlike Morrowind journal which rapidly becomes a 100-pages long mess).
