Ald Vendras 3 Missing.

Post » Wed Jul 04, 2012 8:24 am

Ald Vendras seems to be missing on PES, http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=3494 is the link to the page. Anyone happen to know a backup link to this awesome mod? I'm reinstalling and I'm finding a lot of dead links on PES for some odd reason.

Been gone awhile I take it? PES is falling apart. Better get what other mods you want while you still can.

Not sure if http://mw.modhistory.com/download--3832 is the version you're looking for, but there's others on there.

Looks like the fileplanet stuff finally got nerfed. ElricM is having problems again, too. http://www.gamefront.com/files/4626537/aldvendras_v3.rar is a working download link.

Thanks guys. Wow this is depressing, I hope the day doesn't come when these mods disappear entirely. And yes I'm reinstalling Morrowind after a 6 month hiatus or so.

Fortunately Fliggerty set up a program a while back that grabbed all the Morrowind mod files off PES, so anything anyone's looking for, they can acquire through him/GHF, so long as usage rights allow for it.

That's fortunate, heading over there right now to see what's what :)

I've not had any problems downloading anything from PES (even old files)
Ever since Xargoth-Teran, Xenius and Eswen have taken over as staff at PES it seems to be acting normally to me.

I used Elric just last week, but we all know how that site has not been come-and-go for quite awhile now.

PES is functioning perfectly, as far as I can tell. However, fileplanet seems to be the problem, which is what was often used for the larger files. Are you having success with the mods linked to fileplanet from PES as well? For me, it comes up with a missing page alert from ign. If you're having no trouble with it, can you let us know what browser, operating system you're using?

For example, try this one:
http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=7219&id=765

An attempt to download should come up with this image: http://www.automatichamster.com/keening/forum_images/error_404.png

This is still going around? PES is not going anywhere.
APY, the guy who ran it before, handed off resposibility to several other people. For now, PES is staying where it is.

Yes, I do get that for that link. But that's the first time I've seen it. From my experience it must be rare.

Exactly the point I was trying to make above

With file planet shedding so many mods, and PES having so many dead links to those mods... yes, absolutely, people will talk about it. Pluto may not have noticed this, but many have, and PES will suffer without files for the mods to which it links. It's a fact, and a sad one at that. What surprises me is that there ISNT a huge topic running about the fact that countless mods are vanishing from fileplanet.

I don't know how many links lead to nonexistent pages now, but the more I explore the site these days, the more I seem to find.

There was a huge discussion about the possible closing of PES.
But Fliggerty basically put us at ease by hosting most mods at MMH. And any mods not hosted there that should be can easily be done.

I found a bunch of dead links yesterday, even for some smaller mods. I couldn't find some in other places, but I didn't search a lot as it was late for me and I was getting tired. I was going to investigate them further, but maybe we should just make a thread to pinpoint them and see what can be found elsewhere or on peoples drives, and then get them uploaded if possible.

I once had all, or nearly all the MW mods on PES and Nexus up to a few years ago, but then I realized I that all I was doing was downloading, so I deleted them all. :x Such liberation!
