DLC's to do pre Sin City?

Hi there,

I just picked up FO: NV Ultimate Edition (360). Having a great time, but holy moly does this installment in the series have bugs! People were not kidding.
Anyway... I'm curently lvl. 10. Companion wise, I have Boon in mothballs at Novac. I'm travelling with Veronica and Ed-E. I've been considering making the trip to vegas since I completed 'They Went That a Way' as tp start 'Ring-A-Ding Ding!"
However, I'm wondering if it's a little too early for that trip. And the aforemtntioned DLC question in my mind has me at an impass right now in my quest. Lastly, I'm under the impression that if I do certain quest lines for either of two 'individuals' in LV, I can or will lose Veronica as a companion.

What do all of you think? Thanks!

what bugs have you run into so far?

i have played on pc and ps3 and the various patches have helped tremendously. i wouldn't say i have run into bugs, but i have run into plenty of tech issues on ps3 (freezing and frame rate crashes the chief offenders). pc version with plenty of mods installed has yet to have a non-mod related crash. in fact, it's quite disheartening to see how much more stable the pc version is over the ps3 version.

i start the dlc after i've finished all the quests i want to finish in the mojave, barring the main quest. the dlc's are designed for higher level characters (for various reasons i try to wait to about level 28 to start them). you most certainly can start the dlc's at level 1 if you wish (i've done dead money at level 1 a few times) but at low levels you will not get the full experience. if this is your first time playing through the dlc's, the recommended level offered at the beginning of the dlc is a good yard stick. note: read the pop up box at the beginning of the dlc as it gives you very important information about what to expect.

going to vegas is just the first leg of the main quest. there will be plenty to do in and around vegas. there are also many quests to do besides the vegas area. i would suggest walking around a little, do some exploring and pick up some quests. you will gain xp and levels (and thus skills and perks) while stockpiling some good gear and supplies. you will need it in 3 of the dlcs.

veronica: you will know the quest when you get to it. i like veronica and i think she has a very good story arc. do her personal quest first.
