The days were long and tiring. Deep underground, near the city of Washington D.C., scientists were hard at work, trying to figure out how to keep a human being in what was called stasis. The scientists tried and failed many times, their test subjects usually aging rapidly when they were released. As the scientists worked more, and more, they finally had success. Quickly, the US Military who was over watching the project, code named: Darwin, jumped to the task of asking the scientists to get 50 or so stasis pods working. When the US Military officials asked for the stasis pods, the scientists knew that something was going on. What was happening, they didn't know? They quickly put their thoughts aside, and started getting to work on the stasis pods.
They worked almost day and night, getting stasis pods working. They lived a life underground, no one knowing of their presence besides the military, and other high ranking officials like some Senators who were given a bribe to stay silent on the matter; and so, as the months passed in the year 2077, the scientists finished getting 55 stasis pods operational. Those who were placed in the stasis pods, were just ordinary Marines. The scientists didn't know why the Marines were put into the stasis pods, but little was asked by them when on October 23, 2077, Armageddon was unleashed on the world. Those Marines who had been sent to the secret underground base, were unaware of what was happening above, all the chaos and death that was happening, all the did was go about their usual day, until the order came to gather their things, and hurry to the stasis pods. The Marines did as they were ordered, and all 55 Marines were quickly put into their stasis, unaware of what they were getting into.
Thirty-seven Years later
The world as you knew it, ceases to exist. All the world has been devastated by nuclear war, and you, a Marine just awaking from a thirty-seven year stasis sleep, have awaken to a world you know longer recognize. Your gear and weapons have been kept well by the many Protectrons and Brain bots that now keep the secret base just outside Washington D.C. in order. When you stepped out of your stasis pod, you realized that other pods were already opened, and others had been empty, while still some sleep in their stasis pods. After getting your gear from the armory Protectron, you were told to go to Room D-4. This is where you begin, this is where the Forgotten Hero's will become legends.
Rules: Read these all, they'll help you VERY much.
1. I am the king, dictator, overseer, and all might in this. What I say happens.
2. No God like characters, or anything of that sort.
3. Keep it clean, swearing does not need to be used over and over, in every post, but is allowed in moderation.
4. Basic forum rules apply, and if broken will be given 1 single warning before being kicked from the Rp.
5. Just use your common sense, if you have one, you'll know.
6. Don't start arguing with other players, keep the Rp a good community.
7. Do not post and OOC every-single post, keep them spread out.
8. If you have questions, or ideas just send me a PM.
9. Your character has no idea yet, of what the world looks like above ground, and they have no idea that Nuclear Armageddon occured.

Name/Rank: Master Sergeant John Walker
Age: 32
Race: Caucasian
Gender: Male
Appearance: Brown hair, Brown eyes, clean shaven, buzz cut, muscular body, 6' tall, 190 lb., has several scars.
Misc: x6 InstaMash, x4 Cram, x1 Canteen of Clean Water, x1 Small medical kit, x5 Magazine of .45, x23 MF Cells, Map of Washington D.C., Flashlight.
Weapon(s): Laser Rifle, Colt 1911 Pistol, x4 Frag Grenades, Combat Knife.
Armor: Typical Tan/Brown Combat Armor, but with the words "SEMPER FI" etched on the right chest plate in black lettering.
Personality: Tough war veteran, Msgt. Walker is a hard hitting tough man to deal with. He has a short temper at times, but behind his tough attitude and quick temper, he cares for his me as if they were his own family. He hates to see his men hurting, and always tries to keep their spirits up when there's nothing else to hold onto.
History/Background: Msgt. John Walker grew up near Washington D.C., and when he was 18 joined the Marine Corp, where he was taught how to survive in the worst conditions. That was before the war with China happened, and when war broke out between the US and China, Msgt. John Walker, was quickly sent to relieve Anchorage of Chinese control. His squad did well, and they were commended with medals for their valor of fighting at Anchorage.
When the war continued to drag on, Msgt. John Walker was assigned to guard and patrol duty in Washington D.C. after a few rioters smashed the recruiting office in downtown D.C. After do patrol and guard duty for a couple months, Msgt. John Walker, was put into the stasis chambers as a volunteer.
