The original post:
From Arena to Skyrim skills have been taken out or put into a other skill, while game play mechanics were streamlined or dumbed down. Its only logically that the new TES games will continue this pattern, but to what extent do you guys think it will go to?

Eventually the series will be turned into an action game where you can loot things.

I certainly don't think all streamlining is bad, I just wonder why in TES it usually seems to mean removal of features that many RPG'ers enjoy. Instead of just throwing their hands in the air and essentially saying, we can't sell enough units if we don't have quest markers, 100% spoken dialogue, fast travel to every location, etc, why not figure out systems that give your original target audience and the non-RPG'ers or "casual gamers" if you will, what they want? I'm assuming that the guys at Bethesda were RPG'ers when they started this series, are all those people gone or has big daddy come in and changed their goals? Whatever the reason, accessibility, money, I think there are ways to appease both sides of the aisle.

It's going to turn into a gameboard app you play on Facebook. Think Candy Land or Chutes N Ladders.

I liked Chutes N Ladders, but then again I was able to play as a pure mage. :)
