What man has done to Tamerial

Post » Sat Jul 07, 2012 9:56 pm

Here is a list of things that have happened since man has created a tamerial empire. I am listing this because the next DLC or game will probably be about another Great War. This list will clarify the reasoning behind the Aldmeri Dominion and why they will go to war again.

1.) Snow Elves went extinct except for 1

2.) Wild Elves went extinct

3.) The first vampire was a human woman which brought the plague of vampirism

4.) The Tribunal Died

5.) Civil War in Skyrim

6.) Jagar Tharn kidnaps emperor

7.) Mehrunes Dagon almost kills everyone

8.) Vampires almost block out the sun

9.) Forsworn are created

10.) Dark Brotherhood is created

11.) Thieves Guild is created

12.) The Tribunal is killed

14.) A Akavir becomes a ruler over the empire

15.) Titus Mede turns his back on the Redguards.

16.) 2 Dozen wars

By now you are probably getting the point man seems to be more violent, and Nirn was much safer in Elven hands.

Man has always been on Tamriel. The Nedes predate the Nord's, and they were in High Rock, Cyrodiil and Argonia before the return of the Nords.

Now, given that the Thalmor want to UNMAKE THE WORLD I can't think of how it could be better in the hands of the Aldmeri Dominion.

Lets also not forget how the heatland elves like to fillet people for pleasure and the Aldmeri in High Rock liked to enslave and [censored] the local populace.

4 and 12 what ev. But even though the thalmor are evil they just want to preserve their way of life which has been going on much longer than the humans. In TES when mankind make a mistake they only have to put up with it for a couple more decades then their dead and the next generation comes along. While Elves live for century so they get stuck with having to put up with wars, and pain for hundreds of years.

Men only are violent to murder the knife-eared-Mundus-razors.
But, violent warlords warring against elves is a recurring element in history

See:
Pelinal
Ysgramor
Ysmir

There are more, but I can't be assed to think of them right now.

Pray, is there any exacty point you're trying to get to other than "men are evil"?

Race has little to do with one's inherent good/evilness. It's actions shaped by personality and culture.

Also, the Oblivion Crisis was headed by an Altmer. The Morag Tong was a Dunmeri organization. The Left-Handed Elves did...something. The Thalmor WANT TO [VEHK]ing DESTROY THE [VEHK]ing UNIVERSE! And don't get me started on Vivec. Jagar Tharn was (probably) part elf as well.

Also, most elves (other than Altmer) are implied to only live on average about twice as long as humans, so it's not like these problems "hurt them more".

Men and Mer were created at the same time. Their way of life is no longer then mans. Its better to say they don't want to put up with life at all, because they don't want to mortal.

The mer have had their share of wars too, though they mostly like to kill each other and just enslave everyone else.

1). Partially because they made the totally wise decision to piss off the Atmorans. And thus beginning their horrendous luck.

2). Some say they are now the goblins we see in Oblivion. Either way, these were hardly nice dudes to begin with.

3) How is that Mans fault?

4) How is that Mans fault?

5) Nords going to war is hardly anything new.

6) Why would the Dominion care about this?

7) How is that mans fault? Hell, it was perpetrated by a Altmer.

8)
Spoiler
By a rumor (or so I read) spread by a delinquent snow elf with "My lord, why have you abandoned me" complex.

9) They have always been, to some extent. Don't see why they would care.

10) From a Dunmeri organization (Some believe)

11) You don't need men to steal.

12) See 4.

13) So?

14) Wouldn't that make the dominion happy?

15) Of which the Altmer would wage against their own.

1.) Snow Elves went extinct except for 1

The "Pure" Snow elves were killed by themselves (corrupted by the Dwemer) and a combo of Mer/Man. Dwemer and Nords.

YEP.

4.) The Tribunal Died

Actually the Tribunal died due to the Nerevarine (who default is a Dunmer male) and Azura's curse. Almalexia was driven insane due to her lack of power and likely did not want to see the end of her divinity. (As she sees as a birth right)

7.) Mehrunes Dagon almost kills everyone

The two cases that dagon was released unto Tamriel were both Mer-related events. Witch brings him back in the 2E during the Four-Score War, and then Mankar Camoran brought him.

10.) Dark Brotherhood is created

Actually in that 2920 series - it's credited with a Dunmer female who is called the 'Night Mother' which is also made in the 2E.

We should add the Camoran Usurper to the list.

The Altmer and the Maormer also tend to be at each other's throat as well.

Can it be safely assumed that elves are far more responsible for the slave trade as well?

By now you are probably getting the point man seems to be more violent, and Nirn was much safer in Elven hands.
Now let's compare it to the elves' track record:

1) Dwemer enslave and turn Falmer into mutated goblin-like creatures.

2) Nerevar is murdered by his three most trusted friends.

3) Dwemer try to make themselves a god.

4) Night of Tears.

5) The Ayleids enslave the Nedes.

6) Dunmer raid Black Marsh and Elsweyr, dragging prisoners back to be slaves. This continues even after the Cyrodiilic Empire makes slave raiding other provinces illegal.

7) Morag Tong assassinate no fewer than four Reman Empire rulers, plus several heirs, throwing Tamriel into chaos. It supposedly goes on to become the Dark Brotherhood, depending on who you ask.

8) The Camoran Usurper storms his way though Tamriel leaving a bloody path in his wake.

9) Mankar Camoran ends the Septim lineage and creates the Oblivion Crisis. Those who died aiding him found themselves either killed by Daedra over and over, or dipped in magma, unable to stay dead.

10) Mannimarco plans some vague, sinister plans, with the help of some of the most sadistic people we've seen in a TES game.

11) Dagoth Ur tries to take over Morrowind and kill, drive mad, or mutate anyone who gets in his way.

12) Helseth kills King Llethan and his heir (probably), and anyone else who gets in his way. And compared to Morgiah and Almalexia, he still manages to be the lesser evil.

13) The Thalmor, between the Great War, their purges and their assassinations, kill scores of men and mer. Plus they want to destroy the world. One of them even tries to do so.

Defiance and destruction are mortal prerogatives. You have simply indicated that Man is Doing It Right.
