Tsaeci Pontetates

Don't if this has been answered. But I was wondering, were any of the Tsaesci Potentes dragonborn?

Here is an excerpt from the Imperial library:

In the 2703rd year of the First Era, Tamriel first faced an organized armada of Tsaesci, the so-called "Akaviri Snakemen", and met the challenge with a resounding victory in the Pale Pass of Skyrim. The Emperor Reman was so impressed by the exotic weaponry and battle prowess of his defeated foe that he and his heirs allowed them to rise from prisoners to advisors of the second Empire of Tamriel. Eventually, they became, on the death of Emperor Reman III in the year 2920, the Potentates of Tamriel, and the defeated Akaviri ruled the land for over 400 years.

As you can see they ruled Tamriel for over 400 years. How did they keep the Daedra at bay for so long?

Everything you know is a lie. The whole Alessia/Akatosh plot is full of holes you could sink a freighter.

None of the Septim line were Dragonborn (except Hjalti), neither were the descendants of Reman and Al-Esh.

None of the invading Akaviri were Dragonborn, otherwise there would have been no reason for the Dragonguard to have accompanied them.

All of the Septim line were capable of lighting the Dragonfires and were thus Dragonborn, but whether they were born with the gift or blessed with it during coronations is  .

Couldn't the Potentates have been blessed with it upon coronation as well?

Sure, you could make the argument they were murderous back-stabbers but the same could be said of many of Martin's ancestors. Akatosh doesn't seem to withold the gift based on personality flaws.

And here I thought dem fires was crucial for keeping dem Oblivion cracks closed, plus helping all the other towers making the world exist.

It's a secret sauce in the lore baked beans.

Common mistake ingame propaganda leads you think. Don't beat yourself up.

Thanks for taking this one, Lord Tidus. And to echo, Tiber's direct line ended with his son. After that, it was Tiber's brother and his descendants. In fact, there was no dragonfire lighting during Alessia. This whole dragonfire thing was a Reman tradition.
