Is Caesar's Legion necessarily evil? In my opinion I believe that the Legion actually has a great and wonderful goal, and are actualy more likely to stay alive longer than the New California Republic. Caesar himself is a good man (in my opinion), he does not want to evilly enslave the world and pop demonic horns out of his head, he wants to reunite the world after the apocalypse. Caesar believes that the Apocalypse was an excellent eraser to to erase the chalkboard so humanity could start again, better this time.

Honestly dictatorship (IMO) isn't "evil" at all, it eliminates the possibility of corruption and greedy politics. Now I can't say that Caesar's Legion follows Caesar's ideals but that is simply because they dont understand them. As for the female slavery part... Well that's quite horrible, but Caesar believes that everyone is a tool in achieving his "perfect world", and to a certain extent (nob to the extent of female slavery) this is something like taking one for the team. Just imagine 400 years later when (if) Caesar conquers the world, it's resident will be very thankful of their ancestors devotion to give them that world. (just putting this out there I IN NO WAY approve of female slavery so don't verbally attack me please, thank you)

So the question is do you guys agree with me that Caesar has the right idea or do you think I'm insane and that the man is a homicidal maniac. Thoughts, opinions, questions, random outbursts?

The Legion may have a good goal, but its their methods that make them the "evil" group.

I agree with this but I like to think that this is for the greater good. First brutally conquer then rebuild. Chaos must come before order.

its all a matter of perspective.
Ceasers Legion is basically "the End justifies the means". Right now as we are looking at them, for most they are perceived as evil, BUT tif we saw them when they achieved their "End", then the perspective will have changed juat like the lands they control.
We can only look to the lands the conquered. They first brought brutality and destruction to those lands as a way to dominate, but after everything was conquered the lands became the safest and most stable areas in the west coast.
So with ceasers legion they are both good and bad, it determines what they are.
The lands at first experience brutality and destruction and then it experiences peace, safety, and stablilty....if they follow the rules.
The peace, safety, and stability is better than ncr ever achopolishes, but its falls to price worth it.
Again, it determines at what stage they are at.

The Legion isn't evil, but I can't say I agree with their insistence on trying to turn the world into some sort of savage luddite tribal nation.

That isn't progression, that's regression.


Tell that to the Core Region. Ie. the NCR homeland.

Its sure as hell in better shape than Legion lands.

I wouldn't say that the NCR core regions are in anyway safer than Legion territory. It's stated many times in Fallout New Vegas by different NPCs that Legion territory is extremely safe because all opposition such as tribals and raiders are extemated by the Legion.

The NCR homeland is more civilized, more organized, and generally looks like a progressive nation. While the Legion is a prime example of tribal savagery and general backwardness.

no offense but cesear's legion is like a post apocalyptic north korea. are you frggin kidding me. do you want north korea to unit the world under some dictatorship or something? you'd live a better, freer life hiding from raiders than under the legion.

Really it depends on what you feel is more important. Safety, or freedom. Freedom is useless if your dead. But whats the point of living if your not free. I think they could have been portrayed in New Vegas better. Let them have more territory, so that you can tell that the area they control is safer, over what NCR controls.
