I don't care for rating, I played GTA San Andreas when I was 11 or 12. :D

So What do you think will be the rating for Skyrim, Why so? Explain

By the way people ask not so bright features in this skyrim forum, it should be 30+ so we can have a IQ above a comatose oyster.

Probably MA15+ here in Australia. And may I just add that if Australia STILL doesnt have an R18+ rating when Skyrim comes out and if the game is rated RC (refused classification) I will personally burn down the ACB's headquarters and fly overseas to get one. :toughninja:

Yes i've heard how they handle games and gamers in Australia. In case, anyone didn't know, they basically consider all games to be nothing but toys, if any game is deemed too inappropirate to be played by children in Australia, it won't be released. I hope Bethesda won't care about ratings (sadly, they will) but i feel sorry for any australian gamer.

At least for the PC players, the potential of an M. Console realities may hinder that, as would a surge of puritanical guano (although since DNF has been picked up by another game co and will be released in 2011, there may be a lot that gets missed in the uproar over the Politically Incorrect One.... :) ), but war is not pretty. And simply following archetypes means that the elves, one and all , are pretty agressively nudist in social settngs, compared to humans. If dragons go on a tear through the game world, there is no child friendly way to burn to death. People sleep nvde. Swim nvde (Skyrim's Polar Bear club! Although seeing a bunch of hairy Viking anologues....and that just the womenfolk....might damage some.....). Worship deities and cast ritual magic spells sans wardrobe. Now the environment might mitigate against it being in any way shape or form =common=, but the idea is not to have Leisure Suit Larry meets Drunken SCA tourney. But to have a world that flows. Agressively amputating anything that might have sixual or violent overtones can be just as jarring as reaching the end of a dungeon only to find Auriel breakdancing au le naturale singing Inna godda davida in helium falsetto (although in -some- dungeons, it would have made the trip worth it).

Of course being within a year of going gold, if it ain't there now, it ain't gonna be.

I really doubt they aim for a specific rating. They make the kind of games they want to play. Not the kind they think will net them the most cash.

If Oblivion was changed to M after it's release even though it was originally T, I doubt they're going to make the same mistake in Skyrim. They're not going to tone it down just for a rating, they're making it how they're making it. It won't be advlts Only because there shouldn't be any six in it or drug use or what have you, except maybe some Skooma.

To my knowledge, Oblivion only got bumped up in rating because of nvde mods or something like that. Never heard about Beth toning it down.

Rated M. Back when Morrowind was released, the rating systems were more relaxed. Now with a New CoD game every year, and other craptastic FPSes, they think any game with blood is "Mature"

Yea, I may have not sounded clear in my post. What I meant was Bethesda isn't going to have the nvde skin mod that originally got it bumped up. Skyrim will be T most likely. They actually released a patch so that it would be eliminated and it was only the pc it was unlockable yet the rating stuck.

Nope. I had enough of the fuzzy little plumber boy at the arcade. Plus Sonic is cooler......

I just want my daedra seducer back. Something about a naked chick with wings and an attitude.......I can do without the curvy can opener, though.....

That is incorrect, there was a (unused) nvde female upperbody texture in the game files, also some of the more gorier scenes were not shown to the ratings board, IIRC.
