I've registered on these forums for the soul purpose to sort out an annoying issue.

I've come to play Fallout 3 again today. It installed fine as usual, installed the DLC I own and when it comes to inputting my CD key into Windows Live it says I've installed it to many times and I have to buy a new cd key. I think not somehow !

So how do I go about having my installations/key reset ? I'm in the UK.

Do you allready have a GFWL account ? (Live ID) If so , just select "use existing profile"

Also maybe you need to install the latest client of GFWL found here >>> http://www.xbox.com/en-US/live/pc/downloadclient

I've ticked the "use existing profile", entered my details + cd key and that's when it comes up saying I've used all of my allowed installations. Please by another copy :/

I have figured a way around it though. I've used a serial key from GTA IV and it worked but it's left me wondering if I can't actually use the original key that came with Fallout 3.

Does Microsoft have to reset it ? God I hate DRM :/

Are they saying you have to many games on your existing user account?

Hmmm ... would create new profile have worked in this case?
