Hey everyone so obviously I'm new here lol, I finished skyrim & I just got fallout nv today... and I have a few questions! Sorry if some of them are dumb lol

First, how do you use ammo? I went around in the middle of the night robbing peoples shops/houses in Goodsprings.. I found a .357 magnum revolver, so I took it and equipped it...but it was empty so it didn't work. I woke Chet up and bought some .357 rounds, went and equipped my gun and hit x (xbox360) to reload...but nothing happened. I went into the pipboy and tried clicking on the ammo but that didn't work either. I also have a 9mm pistol and ammo but it doesn't work either...

Also, how to I repair weapons? One of mine was 'in need of repair' and it told me I could repair it using the pipboy....also had no idea how to do that lol.

Is there a way to have followers? This game gets pretty creepy at night lol especially the music

Do I have a house or anything in game? I read that there was hotels in other towns but I haven't even left goodsprings yet lol. And since I can't get my weapons (except the tire iron I found but that doesn't really help me in battle..) I'd really rather not venture out into the wild! Maybe that would solve the question prior, if I could just sleep at night....

First just press RT if you already haven't to use the guns. To repair a weapon you would say have two 9mm pistols. Press y on one and and click on the bottom one to repair the weapon. There are followers, one is in a town near you. Do you have the radio on or just the background music? You can get a house, but it will take some work to get a vanilla house, but you can also pick an old, abandoned building to sleep in. You should also listen to Sunny Smiles and go to Primm. Hope this helps.
