ok maybe your right i just dont see how mannimarcos chillin in echo cave and all the while his servants are all over the world creating black soul gems on a certain day of the month, which is a type of celestial power and why are everyone else making these gems and the giant gem for traven doesnt make sense for someone else to make it if its him that creates them and their is not a single mention of him being called the revenant by any necromancer they all refer to him as the king of worms it would seem strange to have two titles the king of worms and the revenant dont you agree? but i will check out that book right now and see what you mean k

First off; Welcome to the forums. Have a http://www.mwmythicmods.com/fishy.htm

Second off; people don't like it when you just keep posting. Use the edit button.

Third off; I really hope Necromancy has a role in the game.

I did not get a fishy stick when i joined a couple of days ago.

What does it have to do? Everything. He became a god (the Revenant), one of him died, and one of him (the one in Oblvion) stayed mortal.

Long story short, way back in The Elder scrolls II, Daggerfall, one of the endings involved Mannimarco using the Mantella to ascend into godhood. Unfortunately for him, nothing is that easy. The events of Daggerfall triggered a temporary stoppage of linear time, called a dragon break, because of the activation of the Numidium. (which the Mantella is used to power in Daggerfall's other endings) When the Dragon Break ended, the various endings of Daggerfall were collapsed into a single result. Mannimarco was again the high priest of maggots, but now Arkay (That cycle of life and death god) was occasionally eclipsed by the tattered remnants of the divinity Mannimarco sought. When Arkay is eclipsed, the shade of the revenant celestial event occurs, and it is possible to forge black soul gems.

I would love for there to be actual Necromancy, not just Conjuration. Not even the NPCs named Necromancer used actual Necromancy.

I'd like to see necromancy in Skyrim

However, the whole lich thing...It just doesn't seem that appealing really.

well it depends on what kink of character you like, me personally i would cream in my pants to be able to do this because its exactly what ive always dreamed of in a game complete freedom to go evil and nuts with an agenda, raising my minions, wreaking havok on the world. and ya know the whole vampire thing is a little overrated and after a while boring with the crappy looking white skin and pink eye look, why not go a totally evil sinister way by choice of course, the lich wouldnt be for everyone but quite fitting for others, example their probably going to put the feature in that you have to eat, and if you dont eat you get weaker, if your a lich you dont have to worry about it and not to mention theyd have to create a conceal nature spell, i thimk it would be the coolest addition to the game , we've seen vampire, the werewolf, and now it would be only fitting to introduce the lich, you have to see my point. and since lichdom is a form of trancendence, it would be suitable to learn special spells and abilities only a lich could cast because of their immense knowledge of the dark arts and arcane magic, something normal necromancers could never acheive but theired have to be upsides and downsides, one they should totally add the holy ground damage and maybe weakness to water or sunlight, but creating a spell that can protect you from the damage, also after transcending , make it so all undead look at you as an equal, or master, maybe the ability to command them right then and their and since theirs just as many dungeons with bandits daedra and vampires, it wouldnt be unfair and unbalanced.

I like that Oblivion gave you the ability to join an evil guild (The Dark Brotherhood) but it was pretty limiting in terms of your capabilities. Ideally, I'd support having a new guild for Necromancers to appeal to evil magic users. While we're at it, add a band of corrupt mercenaries or bandits to give combat specialists an evil role to fill, and you have a solid set of good/evil counterpart guilds. Except I don't know what the magic guild role will be, considering the Mages' Guild split in two (College of Whispers and Synod) But that's other speculation and such. It'd make me happy if you could finally work for the necromancers rather than forcibly snuff them out if you want to be a magic user of any worth.

i absolutely agree we need to spice up the game with variety, many different quilds, gangs, mercenarys, contract killers, divine crusader, good mage, evil mage, living, undead, the more variety the better, one can find their place in the game, and enjoy who they'd like to become.

Yeah, I just made a post about it with everything I know. The details we have about them are very obscure, so there's not much evidence to guess on.

a dark arts spell line would indeed be cool. alot of necromany and lich spells do not fit into the current schools.

yeah maybe they should add a dark spell that instead of causing elemental damage, causes actual physical damage that way it could bypass magical resistances. i have a ton of ideas for dark magic, doppelganger, would be sweet creating multiple clones of yourself, dark healing spells, using the souls of your foes to heal one self. casting open a dark portal that could teleport you to a desired location (town, lair, dungeon)also the ability to craft your own black soul gems is a must. also a must have feature is levitation spells and maybe turn undead spells for people who dont want to be a lich but would like to be able to bypass certain undead without being compromised, like morrowind. and they have to keep all the necromantic writings and add more and bring back old ones from morrowind like arkay the enemy, blasphemous remnants, corpse preparation v.1,2,3, EDIT: They should add a separate school, DARK ARTS it would be suitable for evil characters like lichs, necromancers, vampires, ect, spells like reanimate, and soul stealing, shouldnt entirely be a part of mysticism.
