What is OMOD?

I keep seeing OMOD, OOO, UOP, and all these other acronyms but nobody ever defines them. I can't even find their definitions on google. So what are they?

omod=type of mod created with obmm (that one you will find on google, recommended to easily install and remove mods)
ooo= Oscuro's oblivion overhaul
UOP=unofficial oblivion patch (highly recommended)

edit:a search tip-add 'oblivion' to any acronym in google

I put the game down for a long time, just started again a few weeks ago. I got sidetracked with the Total War series, and played The Witcher for a bit also.

I've never beat Oblivion, and most mods are very mature now, so it is the perfect time to play again. (and my new hardware helps)
