Story Overview
-The RobCo Factory in California remained fairly untouched by the Atomic War, it was in a secluded area, and built near Vault 77. All the Nuclear Weapons were detonated within reasonable distance away, and sheltered from all sides by mountain. However, the workers inside their makeshift shelter did not survive that atomic attack, save for one who was ghoulified. The Robots of the factory survived in excellent condition and became the ghouls only friends, helping him fend off attacks from Raiders, Pests and the occasional Scavenger.
-But now Vault 77 has opened, bringing with it a full complement of armed security personnel, more than the ghoul or his robot could handle. He decided, after much thought, to let them in as his guests. But the Vault was ravaged by a radiation leak, and the residents cannot possible return, so they decided to settle into the Facility.
-The threat of the Enclave arises, and the Ghoul is certain that they are eyeing his facility, but until they make their move, the Residents of the factory can do nothing about it.

Backstory:
Earl was in the facility, tinkering with his robot charge, the robot D-19, or as Earl called him, Sparks, because of his tendency to let out sparks whenever he is processing too much information. When the bombs fell, Earl was too slow to reach the shelter, and although the bombs exploded way off, the radiation wiped out all of the others in the factory, except for him, and a few protectrons, including Sparks.
Earl kept all his protectrons up and running, and together they faced all kinds of threats from raiders, super mutants and the animals of the wasteland. He became very competent with his weapon of choice, a hunting rifle scavenged from a fallen raider. He equipped it with a “bayonet” of sorts, and when the Vault opened, Earl had no choice but to let them in, but he didn’t want to get too personal, so he kept his office far away from the others and spent most of his time with Sparks and the other protectrons that needed maintenance, he installed a failsafe in his terminal, if ever he needed to repel a major attack. Or a coup.
