On the issue of slavery, no it isn't legal. Humans used to be slaves during the first era, so they would naturally hate the idea of slavery.
But is it still practised by humans? In a sense of capturing and selling, not using.

Edit: Comedic relief, they're the emergency food supply.
Edit2: Though it is easy to change, if it seems against the human nature.
Edit3(Hat trick): I think I'll change it, I'd have to ship those people to Black Marsh or Valenwood anyway.

Thing is, the Senators are a rather corrupt bunch. They think they are above the law, so slavery is okay for them, as long as it isn't them...
