After Detecting Video Hardware and Video Settings have been set The game remains in the launcher. Clicking the play button will cause the launcher to detect video hardware again.

Running Fallout3.exe directly will just open launcher.
Also no options I change in the launcher are saved

Ive tried reinstalling and running in compatibility mode for XP and Vista
None of the main FO3 related forums Ive tried mention this problem. Please Help!
