Basically I bought the game last week on steam, only really played enough to get outside and start wondering around talking to the kind of NPC's i'll get bored of 3 hours into the game but when you start they seem great.

Anyway i saw a crosshair V+thunderbolt for <￡170 so bought it and installed it. Previously i was using crosshair IV + killer nic 2100 (they are on ebay now seperately if anyone wants them). As i said it ran fine on my old system but now as soon as i try to open a new game or load an old one it crashes.

I have all my games and files on a slave drive, and my OS is on a small SSD so i had to reinstall that only when i changed mobo's. I've uninstalled and reinstalled F:NV a couple times to see if that helped, and deleted the steam config folder and .blob file and a handfull of other suggestions floating around the web.

My current build is:

1090t @ 4ghz
hd 6970 @ 1500/1000
crosshair V formula bios 1503
2x4gb ddr3 mushkin cas9 1.35v
asus/xonar thunderbolt card
TX850w psu

To summerize: It gets to the menu fine, but trying to start a new game causes it to crash. Same with loading. Everytime i verify cache it updates but never fixes. Any help appreciated.

yes all other games are running fine, even skyrim.
