Alt-tabbing causes weird radio stutter

Post » Mon Jul 23, 2012 5:49 pm

Whenever I alt-tab out of FONVUE, the radio stutters and sticks, at least I think it might just be the radio, heck it could be all the audio. When I go back to the game it works as intended.

It is almost as if the game isn't being paused when I alt-tab, sure the pause screen comes up but I can still hear the audio and if I have the radio on, it just continues to stutter and stick unitl I go back to the game. Which is stupid.

Does anyone have a fix to this awful, glaring oversight? I was looking in mods and what not but could not find a fix.

You do realize the music plays even when the game is paused? The oversight is alt-tabbing messes with most games' when you alt-tab out, so... not an oversight, just stop alt-tabbing. If you need to go on the internet to figure something out you should shift-tab, hit view news, then type an address in the bar on top.

Using Steam's in-game browser is definitely far better for the game then going to desktop. Lots of games handle alt-tabbing differently and New Vegas tends to do anything from the relatively small issue you having to completely crashing the game depending on the computer.

Why does everyone assume I'm alt-tabbing to browse? I have friends to IM, calls to take, texts to answer, etc.

"Stop alt-tabbing"

Sorry but that answer is 100% UNACCEPTABLE. It's a slap in the face to multitaskers and I don't appreciate it.

The world doesn't stop just because I'm gaming.

So which one of you is going to tell my gf that I can't answer her texts because of a developer's stupid, glaring, oversight in design? No one? I didn't think so.

It needs fixed.
