ok so i have fallout 3 GOTY edition, I installed the dlc disc an played the game up until the "american dream" quest i think its called. the one before you meet lyon to start the "take it back" quest.
i have basically tried this several times and no matter wot choice i make at the end broken steel wont start, the game ends, the ending roles an it takes me back to the title screen. if i hit continue it loads me up to before i choose who enters the purifier or wotever it is. no matter if i choose fawkes or the scientist woman or go in myself i can not get broken steel to start.
however i have the level cap increase an all other perks from the dlc etc. i can also play all other dlc without any problems.

at first i tried to complete broken steel before any other dlc but now i have given up an gone onto the others. however i am nearing completion of those an would like to start broken steel.
is there any way to fix this? an is it a common problem?
now im assuming the first thing to try is delete an install again, i have not tried that yet but I will do.
i just wondered if anyone else has experienced this an if the re-isntall does not work if there is anything else i can try.
it jus seems odd the level cap etc would work but the game will not continue on after i complete "take it back!"

everything i could find using google people only seems to have experienced a similar issue with the actual downloaded version from the market place an it was all to do with the patch an not having it installed properly. i have the patch an everything installed fine as far as im aware as everything else in all dlc works fine.
any help is very much appreciated.

also on a secondary topic, is new vegas fixed yet? lol. i had major lag an freeze issues for about 6 months after release i could not play it anymore, i got rid of it an bought the ultimate edition last week an i wanna play through it again. wot i tried of my old save seems like it works better but id like to know if anyone else can say if its improved from the mess it used to be as i only played a few mins of it. i may start a whole new game in hardcoe aswell. any tips on keeping it lag free to would be great. im seeing mixed reports online, lol.
