Wow...it's so easy to see why Morrowind is superior to it's

There is just SO MUCH to do, and everthing feels so involved. Just finished a quest in Vivec that I had NEVER completed before. This one little, ultimately minor, quest took me HOURS to complete, but along the way i picked up lore, cool gear, a character level, and some mild understanding of the city of Vivec itself...all from one minor quest in one city, to which I was sent by another quest.

As fun as Skyrim is, it cannot hold a candle to Morrowind, and Oblivion just seems bland in comparison. ONE quest (a side quest, at that) from the entire game lets you explore so much of Vvardenfell, whereas the entire game of Skyrim seems to leave out entire towns/cities if you don't force yourself to visit them.

It is clear to me now, that when I last played Morrowind, as long ago as it was, and as long as I played it, that there is much that I missed. Only 8 years or so later do I finally realize what a true gem Morrowind is, and I am JUST level seven!!! ( started over recently) Skyrim and Oblvion fit an ENTIRE province into the game, whereas Morrowind primarily takes place in ONE district of ONE province, and yet there is STILL more content in the game it seems.

When discussing art and entertainment "superior" is in the eye of the beholder. But, yes, in my opinion Morrowind is a great game and it still holds up well over ten years later.

I am in the process of tearing apart my computer (figuratively speaking) so that I can play Morrowind on a clean install again. Having put so much time into Skyrim I find I long for the mystery and joy in Morrowind.

Not to mention, there are quite a lot of artefacts in Morrowind in caves and tombs that are not linked to quests.....meaning that random exploring is very rewarding, unlike the older games where every artefact is linked to a quest....so random exploring is nearly pointless, (in Skyrim) as if you find something good, it means you'll just have to do that dunegon again later and in Oblivion there is no static loot to find.

I can only assume the devs were so scared that players would miss the really nice items that they had to attach them to quests......which really spoils the excitement of discovery.
