data2.cab corrupt!

Post » Mon Jul 30, 2012 1:17 am

I have Fallout 3 on a disc. I had some problems so i wanted to re-installed it. Now when i try to install it gives me an error about data2.cab. I've found out that the file may be corrupt. I've also tried to download all the files from the disc to a folder on my desktop, but it can't copy the "data2.cab" file. Should i just download a new "data2.cab" file of a pirate site? Or is there a solution for it?
Please help me. Picture is the error it gives.

I would check the condition of the "data" side of the disc. if it's got scratches a "disc doctor" MIGHT work.
if there is a discolored area the Disc may be bad

but it may be cheaper to buy FO3/GOTY disc again as it doesn't cost much, no need to go to the pirates
