Please make realistic dynamic guard quests!

Ever since Fallout 3, and even Oblivion, I've wanted to play as a guard of something. Be it a body guard, a town guard (I'd LOVE this), a palace guard, a caravan guard, etc. Just the idea of it excites me, I love the idea and feel of standing patrol or watch of a given objective and getting paid for it, be it a daily or hourly basis. Unfortunately no mod has ever been created for this, at least not for Skyrim and the two Fall Outs (haven't checked Oblivion). The closest quest that resembles this, and I was very excited when I was going through it, was the first section of the Birds of a Feather quest located over at Freeside. While it had the right idea, NPCs walking up to the shop wanting to get in and making the player be the judge on whether or not to allow entrance, it was implemented pretty badly. It wasn't dynamic and it wasn't random, it was very linear, one after the other the NPCs came very awkwardly.

I would've liked it very much if the player could've had a set scheduled part-time job with the Silver Rush. I'm talking you go in and talk to Gloria, and she sets up 6 or so hours on a specific day of the week for you to do the job. The quest (or job) must be dynamic and random, people don't just come up one after the other with crazy stories and weirdness. It should be so that sometimes you'll get a good few people every 10 minutes (real time) wanting access, and then sometimes you'll get absolutely no people attempting to get in. It'd also be awesome if you very rarely and randomly had to deal with thieves who are already inside making a run for it with that shiny fully loaded plasma rifle. Hell, maybe you're not even guarding the outside of the Silver Rush, maybe you're a guard on the inside. Maybe you're just safeguarding a Caravan from one point to the next, having nothing to do with Silver Rush at all!

I guess it's not JUST the idea of being a guard, but it's the idea that you yourself can apply for just about any job, rather than doing specific adventurous and limited jobs (quests) for specific factions and people. The ideas are endless, actually being a scientist getting paid hourly at a university, contributing to the cause of creating new chemicals and meds, or being some sort of pharmacist. Maybe I just need to play Sims lol. One thing I'd hate to see happen though, is the implementation of a guard job, and then allow the wait function to work so you can just skip right on ahead and get immediate pay, you'd have to consider disabling the wait option for specifically this job.

The problem with being a guard is that is boring. I mean, its not like stores get robbed every five minutes. I just don't think people want to play a game as a guard where absolutely no people attempt to get in for 10 real-time minutes. As for applying for a job, as long as you can kill things and loot their expensive weapons and armor, the teaching will stick to the Sims.

It's not like anyone has to take up the job, it requires a select type of person who enjoys the idea of monotonous but realistic work, I think it'd be a nice idea for either a mod or just a side quest for some cash. You can't expect there to be activity all of the time in this.
