Got fed up with doing research. Now need help of some pros p

Hello guys. I'm here asking for advise because I got fed up looking for information over the web. Everywhere I go I keep finding different answers to my questions. Seems like everybody has their own opinions as to why they say what they say, but all without any good reason. Since I cannot get any good answers with good reasons, I decided to come here and ask you brothers who have good knowledge of this game.

I need help in creating not only a good character for my play through of FONV Ultimate Edition, but also a good playing experience. I myself come from FPS games and multiplayer games. I'm a very aggressive man by nature. I like to play fast, and hard. I like fast and hard action because it gets my heart and adrenaline going. If a game slows down, I tend to get REALLY bored! When that happens, I give up and don't go back to that game. Fallout however is different for me. I fell in love with Fallout 3, but since then, have moved onto more exciting and heart pumping action games. I do; however, want to go back to Fallout. Please help me create the best game for me. I'm not a roleplayer. I don't like to "imagine" things. I like to do and/or fight. I gave up on Skyrim because there wasn't enough action in the game. The combat to me was rather weak. The game, to me, is more for those with a feel for "imagintion roleplaying". Again, I'm NOT going to do that.

The ONLY games I have enjoyed are action FPS shooting game, and also MMOs. I enjoy finding loot and selling and buying.

What tags and special do I go with?

For tags I thought about Guns (obviously since I want action...kill kill kill) lol
Repair (because I like to keep my guns and armor and tip top condition and because I want to keep my inventory small. I also do NOT want to make constant trips to a repair-man to repair my gear)

For other tags, I don't know which way to go.

Lockpick? Seems kind of cool. I can open doors and ammo crates

Barter? I seem to like this one. Why barter? So I can get the most money for what I find. I don't go around "looking" for stuff. That's NOT my thing. I grab whatever comes along the way. So whatever I find, it better give me a lot of money. I then use the money to buy ammo and stims and better weapons and armor.

I was told to go for speech instead. That "speech" is needed in this game. Thing is, once again, I'm not a roleplayer. I could give a rats ass about "talking" to NPCs. Talking to me is NOT exciting. It's a video game for christs sake. If I want to talk, I'll go outside and talk to real life human being. LOL But again, I've been told that "speech", in New Vegas, is NECESSARY.

Looking forward to hearing from you guys. Take care!

You may want to go back to FO3 since New Vegas is *very* story heavy, but I'd you insist then tag a combat skill of your choice and whatever else you find interesting. It sounds like barter, speech, survival, repair, science, and any other non-combat skill would be near worthless if you don't plan on slowing down... Medicine may be good just to maximize healing from stims. If you're on PC then download a mod that enables insta-lockpicking/hacking. Just a tip-though, try to avoid shooting every thing you see, do this then post back after doing Honest Hearts :)

I only went to New Vegas because I was told it was more combat oriented than Fallout 3. I enjoyed Fallout 3 a lot, but now I want/need more combat! LOL And no, i'm not on a PC. :-(

I predict that you will find it boring withing an hour of gameplay.

And whoever told you it was more combat oriented lied. It just has true iron sights unlike Fallout 3.
