Daggerfall: how many GB does it occupy on a hard drive?

Because apparently the readme PDF says it's gotta go on the C: drive, and mine is an SSD with only about 5GB free on it.

If you want to know exactly how large click on the download, see the size, then click the DOSbox download and see how big that is. Do everthing this guy says : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kH8rblPRXrg : Then do this to start the game again:

mount c c:\dosgames -freesize 1000

mount d c:\dosgames\dfcd -t cdrom -label Daggerfall

c:

cd\dagger

dagger

Yeah, I found it. Thanks. Jesus, that interface...this was in the nineties and it didn't have good ol FPS-type movement a la Doom? I'm a little surprised.

Doom didn't have FPS-like controls. I remember well having to use the arrow keys to move and turn, and strafing was something you'd rarely do, and the mouse was near useless.

Daggerfall, though, does allow for WASD/mouse-look controls. Look through the control options to rebind the keys, and the mouse options for view-based movement. The only thing that's really missing is a crosshair.

I played Doom back in the day, and those ARE FPS-type controls. And I strafed constantly. I never did get into using keyboard+mouse for FPS games. Of course, I didn't play a lot of PC FPS games after maybe Hexen and Heretic. Played lots of Halo when it came out.

But damn that was awkward. Guess I just didn't have time to get used to it.
