help needed to mix&match lush&gaudy with other repla

ok, this is giving me a big headache...

brittainy's readme says to just install everything dead last, and I'm pretty sure that's not the best way to go about this if you're already using other texture packs.

L&G landscape textures for example: it seems like these would be inferior to the ones in QTP3, Darooz and AmpolX ( which I all plan of using, installed in this order ) so I guess you should not use this folder if already loaded up on quality landscape textures?

landscapelod: easy, I'm going to generate my own with tes4LL so I don't need this

rocks: it includes a few rock retextures, and I'm unsure if skip or keep. QTP3 includes its own meshes for rocks so I'm afraid overwriting its textures will create visual oddities. namely, QTP3 includes meshes for architecture, rocks and dungeons so I was thinking of letting it handle those folders so I can keep the parallaxed goodness and avoid issues.

Improved trees and flora: L&G readme says to overwrite these, but wouldn't this overwrite most if not all of ITF? L&G seems bigger so it would make more sense to install ITF on top of it imho. then again L&G comes with .esp files so you never know if doing this could cause oddities :/

RPG-Blackdragon's trees: same as above, L&G would likely overwrite most if not all of it and I wonder if doing the opposite ( RPG trees installed last ) might mess up visuals.

BIG thanks in advance for any advice :)

Just get into making BAIN packages/sub-packages and custom tailor what you want to install.

Lush and Gaudy already comes this way (or it did last time I used it), but most texture packs can be divided up however you like and you can use BAIN to give exacting control over what gets put where. I went over this rather extensively in my first BAIN thread http://www.gamesas.com/topic/957424-custom-bain-projects/page__view__findpost__p__13861975.

Regarding questions about normal maps and meshes that may go with specific texture sets - just make sure those do install with the textures that require them or you will get issues.

There is no set recommendations because everyone is going to have different tastes and different systems to handle the combinations. Different needs too. What generally is the advice is to install the more extensive texture pack first then override with specific textures (again being careful not to use the wrong normals or meshes).

Myself though I'd rather save the processing power for character skins and AI, so I don't use extensive texture packs and prefer piecing together specific packs that I like.
