Hey folks, I've only recently picked up Fallout 3, I'm familiar with all the game concepts as I've extensively played Fallout: New Vegas beforehand, which is why I ask if Dogmeat on my save is glitched, as followers on New Vegas were not as resilient as Dogmeat appears to be on Fallout 3.

Dogmeat is way too overpowered it seems, as I observed at Evergreen Mills when I let him go one on one on a Super Mutant Behemoth. Dogmeat killed him with little under half health remaining. Is he supposed to be this powerful? It would seem he could single-handedly take on anything.

I picked him up early in the game at around level 4 when I stumbled across the Scrapyard, on my way to Minefield for Moira, if that helps.
