Should the Arena return in Skyrim? : V - Skyrim

Ya thats why I hope they add new moves and styles, it'd be fun to tackle a guy to the ground and just pummel the guy while trying to keep him down, especially with a crowd watching. :toughninja:

Oh, to sit astride a handsome, muscular Nord, holding him down while "beating" on his toned arms and muscled stomach...

Bring back the Arena!
That was the most fun I had in Oblivion, hands down -- it just needed to be longer.

I imagine the Nordic Arena to be very rustic, with drunken men betting on which kilt-clad nutjob with an axe is going to win. It isn't the high society entertainment presented in Cyrodiil; its a way of life to the poor gladiators who can barely keep their families warm and well fed in the long skyrim winters.

would be cool if your title or renown changed according to the way you more foten ended fights, so given the options you could:

- let foe/s live ---> Merciful
- deliver fatal blow ---> Slayer
- terrorise victim before allowing to flea in wet pants ---> Sadist

stuff like this.

Of course the arena's going to be in Skyrim I mean its the homeland of the Nords. Nords are barbarians they love to fight.

I vote yes as long as the arena includes you being drunk in a pit smeared with blood fighting against a bear and/or drunk without weapons/armor/pants.

It would be really nice to have the Arena back. The fights were a little bland though. More variation would be nice. It would also be cool if you could train fighters for your team to give yourself a better chance with the gambling of have the option to sabotage opponents. Archery contests are also a great idea. Fighting in the Arena with a bow was just suicide unless you wanted to cheat and jump to a safe area.

Man archery contests would drive me to the edge of insanity becose the gamemakers (Not Beth) will make the rivals like 11/10 to the middle

how about somehow knowing whom u gonna fight a day b4, have some hoker give the guy a rough night so in the day of the fight he's, as in Dr. Strangelove, "out of bodily fluids"?

One of the things i really liked in Oblivion was the Arena and the option to become an combatant. So obviously, i want it to return. Sure the experience might need a little refinement but overall, i loved the Arena. I just wish it had been larger and longer.

And no i don't want multiplayer, just thought it would be reasonable to atleast give people the option.

This was in Morrowind too but i think it was a MOD.
Yeah specific racial region contest (bloody or not) are cool and imersive if properly done.
Nords could have something like axe throwing, stone throwing, or whatever bethesda can device.

I'd love to see a more fleshed out Arena.

I think it should be a case of having to meet a specific condition for each fight; like lasting a certain amount of time before defeating your opponent, using certain attacks, or sustaining a certain amount of damage to thrill the crowd etc. Paper Mario (of all games) did this, and it worked pretty well I thought.
