M'aiq The Liar, harmless Kitty Cat or Daedric Prince of Lies : The Elder Scrolls Series Discussion

I was just randomly thinking about how M'aiq is featured in Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim and that his Father and Grandfather being also called M'aiq the Liar could just be a cover-up for his true identity, a Daedric Prince that travels Nirn forever, please tell me your opinion on this because it's a pretty weird theory...

We already have a Daedric Prince of lies, Mephala, and Mi'aq is certainly not Melpha. If anything, he's the Daedric Prince of Trolling, but that even a little off since he wasn't quite as asanine in Morrowind.

M'aiq is like Tom Bombadil. He serves a purpose in the overall narrative, but doesn't fit easily into the lore.

He doesn't need to be Daedric at all. Look at all the gods the Redguards have. They have a god for literally any physical thing or concept. M'aiq could just be a leftover piece of creation, like the Elder Scrolls except in Khajiit form.

Daedric Prince of Easter Eggs. He is not really so much a cat as he is a rabbit. Thats why he's always wearing a hood or hat, to hide his ears. Ahem and his tail is fake.

Yes definitely, he represents an Easter Egg race of rabbit-people, which is why they keep score of how many rabbits you kill, because they will get their revenge..,

Maiq is a holographic projection spawning from Azura's coast on Vvardenfell; leftovers from the pieces of Brass-Walks given to Tiber Septim (think Artful Mantis).

He wanders Tamriel, without purpose and with growing insanity because no matter how much he tries to get wandering adventurers to murder him, he cannot find dreamsleeve-ick peace (not that he would find it, as he has no soul).

Maiq is just sort of there, because he's basically the representation of the Bethesda Devs in the game.
