Yes. She was a necromancer of sorts who surrounded herself with all manners of undead including skeletons and vampiric generals, and also a good number of Daedra.

I believe her son was emperor for a while. It started the War of the Red Diamond, if I'm correct.

No, she tried to get her son to be emperor. Instead, it ended up being her niece.

I have read the Wolf Queen books before but I seriously do not remember a thing, I read them back in Morrowind. In my story she is coming to Skyrim to resurrect Potema, she wishes to befriend Potema and eventually steal her power. She has gone to the Mages guild under the guise of a Novice Mage wanting to learn more about the arcane arts. She hides her true and dark power biding her time until it is right. Behind her somewhat innocent looking facade lies pure evil. I have not decided where she was born or what her name will be yet. I made her a Nord just for the looks.
