I played fallout new vegas with absolutely 0 problems before (steam recorded 52 hours of play time). Then, I got hooked into mods. There were some sweet mods that I wanted to install but weren't working properly. I thought maybe I can give the mods another chance by trying to install them on a clean copy. So I deleted local content (I'm using Steam) and went to the directory and deleted everything else myself.

After I installed the game again, I tried running it, and now it crashes immediately after launch! I can't even see the first intro pic into the game. I click Play and all I get is a blank, black window that never ends loading. Everytime I bring up the task manager, it says the game is not responding.

What makes this especially weird is the fact that the game ran just fine when I first installed it, all the way until last night when I reinstalled it. I didn't do anything drastic to the computer during the period the game was uninstalled. Just my typical going to Facebook, Youtube, and playing other games in Steam.

What's wrong???

Oh and no, I did not first install any mods before trying to launch it for the first time. Only New Vegas Script Extender (NVSE)
