I realize that this is covered in many other areas but I was hoping to have it all in one place. Who knows maybe the powers that be will take the hint not just for fallout, (Primarily for fallout IMO) but for any RPG they make. This is do in large part to some recent comments in another section stating that Betheseda is losing depth in there games and basically making FPS games with some rpg content.
So to start off with IMO more depth is definately required.
how:
- More non combat related solutions to quests such as threw diplomacy, stealth, scientific know how
- The radiant AI would definitely be a start as it would give NPC more depth. From what I understand it needs to have more criteria in it so they dont kill when they need something.
- Companions need to be more then just a quest and then a gun for hire/pack mule. They should pick up items that interest them, haggle with merchants when they want something, require food and drink, have other wants and desires etc.
- relationships should have to be maintained by actions.
- marriage, children, friendships should also be added.
