I don't need fancy stuff like "custom sight" and "modability", or fancy features like special effects or something (though they're definitely a plus), I just want something that is definitely "you can't find something like this in New Vegas, sire".

There are simply far too many weapons in nexus for me to peruse myself, so I need recommendations

Oh, and balanced. I can't enjoy a weapon that lets me one hit kill everything only with 5.56mm, now can I?

I've found Project Nevada's Equipment module adds nice, balanced, high-quality basic guns into the game. And i also http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/39651's Modern Weapons add-on for some more exotic ones. And for something special, i use the http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/40000, that has many unique weapons hidden around the wasteland, and the DLCs too They are all made from vanilla assets, so they don't look too out of place either.

There's also the http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/37002 mod, but it has the same problem as many of the FWE mod's guns had, non-fitting reload animations, and some of them are pretty poor quality. I no longer use it myself.

Oh, and http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/40007, adds the Fallout 3 guns missing from NV back to it. Even better, it's WMX compatible.

I remember some sort of weapon that I can't seem to find anymore in nexus. The author mused something about "Battle rifle is kind of the middleman between SMG and assault rifle" and "GRA battle rifle was not explored enough"

It has its own selective fire system and mods which is quite balanced, such as adding silencer reduces damage, and stuff.

No, that doesn't sound familiar. WMX added a "Battle Rifle" before it was included in GRA, but it doesn't have mods like that.
