So I was doing the Lost to the Ages quest in Dawnguard and when I passed a set of pipes near the Aetherium Forge a bunch of air/steam came out. Then Katria said something about "the air down here...bla bla bla" but I couldn't hear exactly what she said. I then got the feeling that, since its called the Aetherium forge, could this place have some connection to Dwemer space travel?

Like I said, I missed her actual comment so I may just be grasping straws here. What do you think is the purpose of the Aetherium forge?

to smith Aetherium into usable objects.

It's a forge designed to create practical items out of Aetherium.
