OBGE Motion Blur

Post » Tue Aug 07, 2012 7:28 pm

I haven't stuck this in the OBGE thread as, as far as I am aware, Motion Blur is a separate module. Do feel free to chastise me for being wrong, however.

Anywho:
I have for a long time had OBGE motion blur - (and yes I have OBGE v3 and all the core stuff and standalone) - to be specific I have the motion blur and the v3 upgrade. I do not have the "subtle" version.
After a considerable period of time having it active, it suddenly dawned on me, yesterday in fact, that I cannot actually see any motion blur at all with it on.

I have the esp activated and properly bossed and I have the relevant shader, but no amount or jumping and leaping or anything else causes blur, it seems.
Now in all likelihood it's actually subjectively me not seeing anything, but my question is this:

Am I missing something obvious here?
Is it just me?

Cheers!
:)

Have you added the full filename of the shader (shadername.fx) to shaderlist.txt, which is - or should be - located in data\shaders ?

Well no, and I'll tell you why - it runs off an ESP, and since the instructions didn't say to do so I just figured that maybe it shouldn't be there...

Have...have I been a bit thick...? :(

If you have the latest "effects" package installed via BAIN, you can select the "Compatibility" bundle, which includes motionblur.fx, which can be added to shaderlist.txt - this is the way I would suggest going about it.

Of course, you could rewrite the .fx file somewhat, if you do not like it as it is.

Eek.
I'll probably just leave it to be honest. It's taken me literally months to realise it wasn't there so it's obviously not that big a deal for me.

Thanks for the advice though. :)
