They are not extinct, nor have I heard any mention of their numbers dwindling. Chances are we would see at least one in-game.

I don't think anything has been said about Imgas being extinct.

We'd likely see Imgas. Although Beth might make them into spawning enemies rather than NPC characters. It'd be a real shame.

Or even worse, not make them appear at all... (I could see beth doing a stunt like that sadly.)

I'd prefer them to be playable.
