PyFFI, getting a bit overwhelmed

Hi,
I have recently returned to Oblivion and after a while of reading posts I have gotten quite a bit of information on how to optime the game and the mods I am using.
So far everything has been great, I learned to use BAIN and put on the full FCOM setup via it and everything is working beutifully. Also got the hang of cleaning mods with TES4Edit.
The next step in my list was to learn how to PyFFI to increase the performance and this is where I got confused very very quickly.
I could not find a tutorial for PyFFIing, the closest I got to was this http://tescosi.com/wiki/Oblivion:Python_File_Format_Interface , yet it still could not bring me to a full understanding of the process.
First of all what exactly do I need to download and install?
From the last official thread I could find http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1172342-relzwipzpyffi-python-file-format-interface/page__hl__how%20to%20pyffi I gathered that I need Python.
Is the version stated there (2.6.6) still the needed one? I ask because there are newer aivailable.
And what then? There are links for PyFFI, for PyFFI Optimization Kit v7 and for PyFFI Binary Patch Kit v1. Do I need all of them? Is there a particular install order?
Once it is set up I understand that the meshes to be PyFFIed go into the ''in'' folder and when it is finished the optimized version will be in the ''out'' folder. By what criteria the meshes should be PyFFIed? As I understand not everything is safe to be PyFFIed.

Basically I would really appreciate if someone could write a guide of sorts or point one to me where this whole process is explained step by step in a simple language.
