I'm a 3 year playstation veteran and have been gaming literally all my life. When I first got skyrim Elder Scrolls I was happy with it's massive free-roam engine and really detailed animation amongst other things. So all said to date I've made at least 8 characters and have had reasonable success with all. But suddenly and I dare say right after your patch... the game has been glitchy beyond norm. My primary example is just today I spent about 5 hours bringing a new char up , but the game never gave me an oppurtunity to save. I'm no idiot, I know the game autosaves often and the command to save in in the start menu. But I'm serious when I say the game DID NOT give me the option to save, load, or quit for that matter. On this account this was the second char in existence but when it said it autosaved finally, I quit and re-loaded and there was no autosave for the new char, it instaed showed only my first char and his autosaves. Thata alone would not have prompted this note but when you mix that with the fact that another account has a high-lvl char that suddenly cannot finish the game I find myself a bit upset. That char is in the "ReUnification of Skyrim" quest when suddenly Legate Rikke wont assign the next task. I tried three distinctly different times just in case it was a matter of timing. But no, Rikke simply doesnt acknowledge my char and instead keeps saying, "The general and I don't always see eye-to-eye..." All said and done these events represent hours and hours of time utterly wasted. I cannot endorse this game to my many gaming friends with glitches like this.

Hell, I don't really feel that pointless rants have any right to belong anywhere on any forum.

And please stop complaining, my PS3 died about 3 times and I had format each time. So all of my characters are gone, period, thrice over. Not to mention that Fallout New Vegas is much, much worse. As in, I have to restart it every 20 minutes due to severe lag or freezing or I fall through the ground into the abyss.

Wrong forum sectiom, but at least Rikke has a workaround because you can do the main quest to the point of the peace treaty.
The bugged disputed territory will change hands and leave you free to pursue the civil war.

You see, the whole problem is with a false understanding of the TES mythos. I'd suggest starting with the Monomyth, maybe work on to Varieties of Faith from there. That'll serve as a solid foundation for understanding the lore.

That is to say, the Direnni aren't the same thing as the Thalmor, otherwise the tower wouldn't have stood so long.
