Should I just generate a new character if I cannot use Daedric? I'm playing a Nord knight who specializes in Blunt weaponry (Axes, and such.) I'm assuming the best weapons in the game are Daedric right? Someone please I need guidance. Also, I came across a holy dagger are these useful for anything?

Another question is there a way to loot coffins, and what about bookshelves?

Coffins cannot be open like a container but sometimes you will see open coffins (without a cover) that may have something inside.

Daedric is the best material but it's not mandatory to have the best weapons. Mytril or better can kill anything in the game.

Holy daggers are used for enchantments. Once you have access to an enchanter (this rservice equires an high rank at the mages guild and takes a few game months to get) you can add spells to your holy dagger and then use it as another magic item. The reason why these items exist in the game is because they have a good amount of mana storage for enchanting. You still need to find soul gems in order to fuel the item. Alright thanks for answering my past questions, but I just closed Daggerfall, and I'm back with more questions. How do I figure out the enchantment of an object (I have an enchanted toga, and an enchanted candle). That's basically all for now though.

Alright never mind, I've ran off and found the answer myself. I'll basically end this thread here, and from now on I'll look elsweyr instead of the forums. I don't want to bombard you guys with common questions of a beginner.
