The Dreamsleave and race chareristics

Post » Mon Aug 13, 2012 7:43 pm

We know that the souls of the dead end up in the Dream Sleave.
I've always imagined it was like an ocean. Stripped of memory and identity the souls become a drop in this ocean. Individual souls merge into one whole, just as many drops of water become a puddle.

From this ocean or soul-whole new souls are created.

My question is: what defines race if all souls come from the same place and are therefore equal?

According to the elven creation myth, elven souls are greater than the lesser human spirits, thus their longevity and affinity for magic.. At why point in the soul creation proces is decided if said mortal will be a 'greater' or 'lesser' spirit?

Isn't this just proof that the elven supremacists are wrong? The only thing that makes an elf an elf and a human a human is their bodies. Deep down, everybody's soul is black.

I like to think that all souls are sent back at random regardless of race or species, and when a soul is born into a mortal body it "grows" to fit its vessel.

Oh now this is an interesting statement. Would white souls go to the dreamsleeve? Giants, Falmer, Goblins, random animals? If so perhaps the great and powerful Thalmor used to be a bunny in his or her previous life

I'm inclined to say "yes", but Animals and Ehlnofey are not related. I feel that mannish and merrish souls are really the same size, because in gameplay terms they are.
