I know that the ruling political faction, the Thalmor is composed primarily of Altmer but that leaves me wondering if the Bosmer hold any sort of real leadership positions in the Dominion.

Half joking. The Thalmor see them as lesser peoples (as all non Alinorian Altmer are), but they are still elves, and thus better than most other races.

Slight correction, they're elves that have similar religious views as they do, and their pantheon is roughly similar to one another. They probably see themselves as caretakers to the Bosmeri people to some extent, a compassion (If you can call it that) that they wouldn't show any other race.

I think they simply see the Bosmer as a tool, a means to an end (the literal end).

For some reason, this thread has got me thinking about the Morlocks and the Eloi, which I know is weird
