Cat Bellamy - 8 Months Recap

Cat has seen the ups and downs of Nipton first hand. Oh yes, she had been there, when it all started. Raiders, Legion, rogue NCR soldiers... at first it didn't seem to end and Cat had her hands full patching up gun shots and stabbing wounds. Poor young Rod had even lost an eye. People came and went, but some that had left always returned to Nipton for some reason. They had developed a rather tight knit community here.

The clinic had grown and flourished and Cat could have never done it without Julia's help. Not only where they a good team, they had also become fast friends. Jack had proven an able lab technician and with the help from the Courier, they were actually able to produce a lot of their own medicine right here, at the clinic.

Julia was Cat's best friend, and J.T., whom she adored and loved beyond all else, was her world. Their wedding had been a quiet affair. Ulysses had made a very adequate speech and all their Nipton friends had been present.

Cat and J.T. had completely renovated the bungalow and even build an additional room... "A nursery," J.T. had called it with a grin and Cat just shook her head and rolled her eyes. The clinic kept her much too busy, to even think about kids, she had told him then, six months ago. And it was true. Cat's and Julia's reputation as first rate doctors made the round and soon people from all over the Mojave came to Nipton for treatments. After that they stayed on, to gamble or use the brothel.

At first Cat had spoken out against a brothel. However, after seeing how Lisa ran the place, she even agreed to do the yearly check ups for the girls at a discounted price. The casino was also doing rather well. Traders and visitors flocked to the town. Cat could only marvel at Nipton's change and she was proud to be part of this innovative community.

Sam's store had grown and Reggie seemed to be spending a lot of time there. In the past 8 months, Cat distanced herself more and more from those two women, who for some reason began to raise the hair on her back. Somehow, she had a feeling that they were up to know good. She always feared that they had something to do with Ace's disappearance. She missed the man and wondered where he was.

Steve and Becky came to see her often at the clinic. She liked them both. Steve had been a great help and she would be forever grateful to him.

Ryan's security company made Cat feel actually safer than she had in a long time. She liked the ex-ranger and they re-kindled their old friendship, when he returned to Nipton.

Peter, Mary and the girls were always dear to Cat. It was a rather joyous occasion when Mary gave birth to her third little girl. Cat spent as much time as she could with Mary and the kids, especially during the times when Peter was on the road.

William Krios had left Nipton and she heard that he had made a fortune investing in some company. She wondered if he would ever return to settle down in Nipton again.

(let me know if I got something wrong. Bosmight... your 8 months recap sounds like William left Nipton)

***

Cat stood outside the clinic and leaned against the wall. It had been a quiet afternoon and she watched as the sun dipped below the horizon. A small smile played around her lips, as she placed a hand onto her stomach. The results of the blood test had come back positive. Children were never part of her plan. Plus, she had been surprised to find out that she was even still viable to have any kids. This might be a difficult pregnancy, but for now, the thought of J.T.'s child growing within her, made her happy. She would tell him tonight, after dinner. He would be pleased to know that the "nursery room" would not be wasted.

Ace Makovich - The Mojave - Morning

Ace was in a wagon on his way back to Nipton. If anyone where to look at him he'd be barely recognizable by anyone that knew him. He had a 5 o'clock shadow and his face was hidden by a desperado cowboy hat. He had a plaid shirt with a black leather jacket over it and a pair of black leather pants. He no longer had histories old plasma defender but carried a magnum revolver and a cowboy repeater slung over his shoulder.

"Don't worry you'll like it in Nipton, its a nice little town. Most people are friendly but it had its bad seeds just like any other place," Ace spoke to his guest sitting inside the wagon as he travelled down a dirt road.

Ace looked back to make sure his guest was comfortable, "I hope everything is alright. We are almost there and we can take a long break once we arrive. I think everyone will be quite surprised when we show up. Most people believe me to be dead except for that [censored] Ryan, but doubt he'll tell anyone of me being alive."

"He did tell me never to return but I must. I need to see my son and be reunited to her. I don't know how she'll react when she sees me but I hope she is able to forgive me. I do love her still, I haven't been able to get her out of my thoughts, I still love Reggie," Ace turned back once again as he heard shuffling after mentioning Reggie's name.

He returned his gaze to the road and believed he could see outskirts of the town. "You don't speak much, do you? Well of course not you can't understand me and I know that but I like having these conversations, they keep me sane. Especially on this long trip, cause finding you was not easy at all. But I managed to track you down."

The wagon began to pull into town and everything looked different. There were new buildings and some of the old places looked expanded. The streets were more crowded with people and town seemed so alive. He looked to where the Captains Club once use to stand and there was now a large building under construction there that read Casino. The town was progressing and Ace was amazed.

The wagon pulled up to his old house and he sat there for a while. "We are here let me come around and give you a hand," Ace said as he git off the wagon and headed to the rear and gave his guest a hand. The guest began to rumage through the bags and Ace proceeded to the front door. He knocks on the door and waits for her to answer. The door opens up and Ace removes his hat and with a smile says, "Hi Reggie."

Jack Mulder - The 8 months of time

Jack was dealt a heavy mental blow when he found his old friends in the NCRCF dead. Even though Jack realised that they had been bad people, he cursed God upon entering the NCRCF. That was the moment his faith began to falter, for why would Jack stay loyal to a god who seemed mock him at every turn. Jack made a symbolic gesture as he buried Sin, his machete, into the courtyard of the NCRCF where Jack thought to leave only his sins and fortify his faith, but instead, Jack left a big bit of his faith buried under sand within his machete. Jack wandered back to Primm that same day.

In Primm Jack met up a with a follower of the apocalypse, Jonathan Watson, a peculiar fellow, in Jacks opinion, and spoke oft with riddles. This FoTA member helped Jack overcome his trauma of NCRCF, and to reach a completetly sane mind. These two befriended and headed soon to Nipton. Nipton was an new beginning for Jack now, with a job in the hospital and meeting of some still alive powder gangers. This new Nipton enthralled Jack more than the old one, which Jack had seen form from the beginning, and which had had a lot of trouble, Jack for an example. It seemed that Jack had been trouble in Nipton from the start, and would continue to be. This because Jack soon formed a drug running ring with his old friends from the powder gangers. Every friday night, Jack would stay in the hospital past his working hours, to create more a few more chems and smuggle them out, and sell them with a strict policy. He only sold to his old friends and to turists, who were only passing through and never much to them. Jack wanted to keep his actions small among anyone else but the Powder Gangers.

A nicely fat pay purse always found it's way to Jack, with his pay from the hospital and the street market sale prices. Everytime suspicions started arise within Nipton, Jack stopped making extra goods until the suspicions settled down again. Jack restored his house to a pristine condition which it hadn't seen since the Great War. Jack now has a nice steady life, with a comfortable routine and still a pinch of impulsive actions. Overall, Jack reckons' he now has the greatest time in Nipton than he ever expected to have.

(OOC: If there's something to change, chime in)

Julia Winter - Nipton
Julia opened her mouth "damn you" she spat at the med-x boosted dozing patient "Drunk oaf, moderation or like my dad only in celebration" she mumbled and jabbed the stimpak in the patient and let it do its work as she tied up the bandage around the drunk mans head "Be careful and just get out" she said cynically leading the patient to the door, she saw cat "another alcoholic found just out of town, had his own stock, dad ensures after they get tipsy, they get out" she smiled at cat "Anyway that was the last one, you need anything?" she asked glancing at cats hand on her stomach, then staring inquisitively at the man who stepped off the wagon and into reggie's house, she sighed "So Cat, you need anything, I figure if you're gonna tell J.T, you may as well do it somewhere special, perhaps by that trailer park or in the captains club" she grinned "Jus' following the old mans business, anyway you need anything?" she asked, pulling out a bottle of water and an aspirin, taking the aspirin and using the water to wash it down, stress was showing in the form of headaches and bags under her eyes.
