In the start menu, you could pick start Co-Op game or start game. If you started a co-op game then you would put down the username of the person who you would be co-opping with. If people go into their computer on the other end they get a steam message asking if they want to start a co-op game with this person. IF they accept they start the game, both playing on different screens. IF one person leaves the game, the other goes into a loading page, and the game pauses. They can play together, or play seperate lives. Then there is the problem of dying. IF one person dies, does the game end? Do they both get sent back to the last save? If they are in the same instance it goes back to last save. IF they are in different instances then only the one who dies goes back. AND, if they are in different parts of skyrim, then they sort of go back in time to where they were like 2 minutes ago. (Unless they are near each other, then they both go back.) The only problem could be what happens if they are on different factions, sure it would be fun to fight over whiterun, testing each others skill in deadly battle. For these particular occasions i think it would have to be some kind of revival, AFTER the fighting ends and the other person goes far enough away.
The other matter is quests. IF they did them together its all fine. They both recieve them and do them together. But if they do it seperatly? Can one defeat Alduin, as the other hones his skills helping the companions? I think yes. Things could be traded between them just like world of warcraft. Scrooge McDuck (My characters name) Would like to trade you Wuuthrad for 1204 gold, do you accept? This way (as it would probably end up, just because i think it would be fun.) I could be like a personal servant for my friend. I would take his items he doesnt want or need, sell them, take things, smith him armor. enchant his stuff and make him potions. First i would kill Adrianne and take her forge.
What did you think of this idea? Any problems, addons, questions? Please post a reply!
