I am among a few I've seen on the community who sees the severe potential for problems in the newly posted "Hunter Mode" in Crysis 3. In the gameplay video we saw that the Hunters had Unlimited energy in Cloak. I believe this is a huge mistake. Not only can you shoot the bow in cloak, but you can also now melee in cloak. Now what stops people from simply running around cloaked spamming melee? What stops the Hunters from picking off the CELL one by one from afar when they can't be seen? The mode should be balanced, and unlimited energy is by no means a way to balance it. If the energy is limited, then CELL has a chance, since they have Nanodisruptors and automatics, whereas the Hunters have a bow and cloak. If the Hunters have unlimited energy, CELL will simply never win, because the Hunters only have to kill to increase their numbers, and they can hardly be seen from afar where they'll be firing in cloak. CELL needs some counter to the Hunter's cloak. Some might say "the nanodisruptor IS a counter", I say you are wrong. How many times out of 10 do you hit someone with a grenade? If it's low, you throw randomly. If it's high, you always see the person and throw the nade directly at them. But since you can barely see the Hunters, what are the true odds you HAPPEN to hit them with one? 5%? 1%? I would say some feasible counters would be Threat Tracer, Proximity Alarm, or Max Radar for CELL. Like I keep repeating, if CELL has no TRUE counter to the Hunter's cloak, CELL will never have a chance.
So please, Crytek. Since you can fire while cloaked and melee while cloaked, make cloak balanced and please limited the amount of energy. Or make a real counter to the cloak, not some fancy "throw this and
occasionaly you'll hit the Hunter" device. Hunters can
always be cloaked, so CELL should have something to use that almost
always helps them find them or kill them. Otherwise all you'll get is a bunch of cloaked Hunters running around spamming the OHK melee, and the mode will die.
