...Bethesda should remake/update the older TES games with 2012 engine?
I know this will most likely never happpen, but Valve, remade Half-Life(1997) in 2005, with dynamic lighting and ragdoll physics, and they are developing the second remake which will include high def models and advanced character animation.
That allowed Half-Life to remain one of the most played games currently, even after 15 years.

And because the older games generally have a better storyline, i guess it would be everyone's dream to see the old Elder Scrolls games "revived"

This topic reappears in some form about every week, if not more often. The relies are generally the same:

(Reply 1) - No, it would cost almost as much as a new game, since they'd have to remake EVERYTHING for the totally rebuilt engine anyway. Why not visit a new province instead of rehashing the same old?

(Reply 2) - Awesome idea, as long as they keep Feature 483 and get rid of Feature 7.

(Reply 3) - Might be alright, if they can dump feature 483 and don't touch Feature 7.

(and so on)

Hello Kovacius!

It's option 1 for me. I would be unintersted in such a game. I want a fresh start, clean cut, new engine, new story, new landmass, quests and NPCs. Reheated beans for the price of fresh lobster? I'll pass.
