Strange face generation

Hello there, new to the forums (new to posting here, but I've actually been lurking since December). Because of all the hype over Skyrim, I decided to check out what these games were all about in December, and since Steam was offering the Oblivion GOTY edition for £3.74, I got it to see if I liked the gameplay offered. This is perhaps the only game series I've come across where I can play an anthropomorphic character, so it suits me perfectly. The only other game series I care for where I can explore and become immersed in a well-realised environment is the Stalker series.

I've just started up another game with a new character (fourth character it must be), using the alternate start mod to begin in a cave, and have spent ages on character creation as usual, the face generation part in particular. I decided to make my Khajit resemble me, which isn't easy. One thing I've noticed in the past with face generation, and I'm noticing it now too, is this issue with what look like the sides of the face being pulled down by invisible weights. It's most noticeable when in sneak mode, while standing normally the offending polygons jut out a little from the sides of the face. It happens along either side of the jawline, towards the back of the neck. While in face generation, it's rather tricky to reduce so that it doesn't happen at all (it's like the face is 'bubbling' in these spots).

Is this a known 'anomaly' with Khajit face generation? It doesn't ruin my game or anything, and I don't consider it a bug really (hence why I didn't post it in the hardware and software subforum). It isn't a massive impact on the visual aesthetic of my character's face, but I'm a bit of a perfectionist; if I can eliminate it entirely, that'd be great.
