Training, Trading, and Strategy
Training SoldiersYou can train soldiers who will be used to fight in battles. They're classified as 'Units'. A Unit contains roughly 100 soldiers. So if you train a Unit of Archers, you'' train about 100 Archers. You're a small kingdom, so you can only have a total of 5 Units, roughly the equivalent of 500 soldiers. There are three SOLDIER TYPES, and you'll need a wall-balanced army to do great in battle. If you wish to train a new soldier Unit, just post in the IC about it, such as a General overseeing their training or something.
Soldier Types
Infantry - Infantry troops are equipped with any form of armor, and some form of melee weapon and maybe a shield. Infantry are ideal for defending a position against cavalry, but they are weakened by archers. With proper tactics, Infantry with shields can negate damage done by archers, outflank other infantry and win, and can break through enemy formations if they're weakened enough, among other tactics.
Archers - Archers are equipped with light armor and bows. They are ideal for weakening Infantry positions, but they can be run down by cavalry. With proper tactics, they're useful when trying to break infantry formations so your own infantry can break through their formation.
Cavalry - Cavalry are mounted troops with any form of armor and a melee weapon, and maybe a shield. Cavalry can charge and run down archers, but cannot break through infantry lines. With proper tactics, they can break through weakened infantry formations, outflank infantry and win, and protect your own flanks.
