Help With a Script Error

Post » Tue Feb 23, 2010 4:32 pm

Here's the error I'm getting:

Expression Error Unable to find object "_TLgore_Marker" in script _TLg_Blood

I get this error when trying to start a new game, and it causes the game to exit.

Any ideas? I keep looking through script exports in Wrye Mash, but can't find anything.

This might happen if you have not installed a mod correctly, and it's missing a pre-requisite plugin or something like that.

The easiest way to find the problem plugin(s) is to use a program that can search for strings inside of files, like wingrep or http://www.inforapid.de/html/searchreplace.htm.

I searched in my plugin database and find that it looks like this problem comes from the "Blood and Gore" mod. Double check you've activated the correct plugins for that mod.

http://code.google.com/p/mlox/wiki/Mlox knows about Blood and Gore, so it might be able to give advice if you run it.

Thats kinda weird. I had at one point downloaded Blood and Gore, but never installed it. I wonder if some of my other mods are dependent on it?

Is there any way to copy/paste the loadlist from Wrye Mash as you can from Wrye Bash? Then I could post my mod list and load order.

Could be. Using a search program would probably find it pretty quick.

You can use Mash to post the load order from any of your savegames: Select the "Saves" tab, highlight the save file whose load order you wish to document, go to the masters pane, in the lower right of the window, right mouse click in the column heading "File", then choose "Copy List" from the popup menu, and then you can paste it.

Or you can get your load order from mlox: ust right click in the "Active Plugins" pane, choose "Select All".

Well, I don't have any savegames yet as I can't get past the loading screens unfortunately.

And I'm kind of a newb with mlox, do I have to manually make a text file that lists all the mods? I can't seem to find any functions that allow me to import a list from Wrye Mash or the Data folder itself.

Install mlox here:
Bethesda Softworks\Morrowind\mlox

You can get a list of your active mods (albeit not in load order) from morrowind.ini, which is in the same location as morrowind.exe. It's the [Game Files] section towards the bottom of the file.
