Never rich in Vegas

Post » Fri Aug 24, 2012 10:41 am

I've never had much caps in this game. Every time I get a few thousand caps I spend it on some implant, high end weapon, repairs or I just live it out in Vegas, gambling 50 caps a time at the slots machine. And it's great, in most other RPGs (KOAR, Skyrim) I have way too much money. In Oblivion I have multiple millions, losing the incentive to loot most items. But in Vegas I go to the Strip, visit the Aces theatre and watch shows of people I've placed there, drink a few beers and gamble my money away. Because I play on hardcoe mode I also have to spend caps on food, radaway, purified water and I can't loot too much because even ammo takes up weight space.

My question is: is this going to stay like this or am I filthy rich at level 50, like in most other games? I'm about level 20 as I'm typing this and I like the way I have to "manage" my caps, it greatly increases immersion and roleplaying.

Depends on what you do. Spend your time relaxing on the Strip, you have to manage caps; get constant hit squads and sell their AMRs and thermic lances, then you'll be swimming in caps.

It depends entirely on how you play. If you know what you should and shouldn't buy and if you start insanely scavenging everything of value from the very beginning(like me) you can make nearly ten thousand caps by the time you first get to Novac.

I usually don't have much either considering there are so many important things to use it on.

Whenever I get money I have an idea on what to spend it on.

If you have the DLC's then you will no doubt be filthy rich.. If not, you will probably still be rich, but all depending on how good you actually manage your cash. I get alot of my income from "business" AKA selling vault suits to that vault chick and doing business quests and stuff. Much comes from hit squads and fiends too.

Right now i started a new game but in my older one i had 60 g's and almost all the weapons stashed over half the wasteland in my "safehouses".
