More Daedric Lords?

Post » Fri Aug 24, 2012 1:58 pm

Hello, I was just wondering a simple question. Is it possible that there are more daedric lords than we know about? I mean the majority of players had no idea who Jyggalag was until Shivering Isles. I know Realms have something to do with the plane(t)s, and there is 13 of them, I do not know if there is any irrelevance between the number of plane(t)s and the number of Lords. I was under the impression that there are smaller, or more lesser daedric lords and that they haven't made a be enough impact on the "world" to have credit due.

There are possibly infinite number of Daedric lords. Not all like to mess with the realm of mortals.

And whats this "Realms have something to do with planets" nonsense?

Quite unlikely that any principalities out there could resist the chance to troll Mundlings. If there are, their spheres would most likely subtend concepts beyond our basic comprehension.

And you can see Akatosh with a telescope. That's what.

If we're in the Mundus, planets are deicorpses. Oblivion is a another beast. In theory, there could be more, but it doesn't matter to mortals. Other gods can become Daedra (see Meridia and Dagon), but the difference is mostly semantic.

It's unlikely, though possible. They would have to be not involved in mundus, or as stated above, embody concepts that are beyond mortal comprehension.

Also, it's *possible* for a summoned Daedra to be granted a proper name and title (Menta-Na, Staada, that Dremora by the Shrine of the Rock, etc.) through their actions or from their Princes; but they are still largely indistinguishable from the non-Princes and are still subservient to their patron prince.

Maybe if they're even more of a recluse than Herma-Mora

I think one gamebook considered that the daedra and spirits were all just personified concepts. Then again, maybe I'm confusing it with another book, one rather early in the game series, when lore was in its own messy Dawn Era. That gods were no different than lower spirits, but the mass belief in them powered up the mythopoeia, making them gods afterall.

So i like this one:

It's unlikely, though possible. They would have to be not involved in mundus, or as stated above, embody concepts that are beyond mortal comprehension.

The idea that there might be more things out there, but we only realize the classic 16 daedra, and only because that's as far as mortal comprehension goes. How kooky.

And now I feel like playing Arkham Horror again. Cthulurghle, Prince of Pronunciation and Lack Thereof
[cthulu is a punk. minus1 health and sanity!?)
