New Vegas Crashes at a New Game

Post » Fri Aug 24, 2012 3:41 pm

I have had new vegas for a good year and a bit now and in the beginning I used to be able to play it perfectly and same for the Sierra Madre Casino DLC. After completing it I left it untouched for ages. Now I try to play New Vegas and at first it crashed after launching it. So I reinstalled and got rid of my saves and started it a new game and it goes to the intro video and goes to a loading screen then crashes to the desktop. I run win 7 64bit. As far as I know I have tried every single solution to fix this and have not had a single improvement. I have downloaded those dx.dll something files, I've tried the removing the SMainMenuMovieIntro= part from the Fallout_default file. I've set the compatability to xp sp3 and administrator mode. I've gone into options on the game launcher and set the antialiasing to off, so far I've done every single thing and no sucess. The worst thing is I've played the game and now I just can't play it anymore. It's like it's expired. I am desperate for a solution to the massive problem. Also I am having the very same problem with Fallout 3.

Without the normal and ordinary information we ask for here, there can be no answer, so if you want help, you start by helping yourself, and adding the missing data.
